do i have tilt wheel??

hey fellas,

on my '83 steering column, there looks like there should be tilt wheel because there's a joint and the wheel sort of tilts up from there sitting really high. where is the lever supposed to be?? anyone got pics??

if you do the turn signal lever needs to push foward to ajust tilt be careful sometimes on older trucks you may need to wiggle wheel some to get it to release good luck

I had my truck for a year before I discovered it had tilt steering. My wife actually found out before me. I saw her flip the wheel up to get out of the truck and I was like WTF did you just do!

well at least my finding wasn't that extreme...say, i wonder if my '96 did have tilt wheel

If you 96 had a tilt column there would have been an extra stick poking out the left side of it that would let you adjust it.

adrianspeeder is starting off with a positive reputation.
Yeah pre '92s with a turn signal stalk that can push forward got the tilt. Obviously this wont work for the mulitifunction switch on the '92+ so they have a separate control.
