670cfm truck avenger too small for 460?

Hey.

i have a 460 iam gonna drop in my 4x4 and was wondering if i could use my 670cfm truck avenger. its a stock engine except for

1.edelbrock intake manifold
2.rv camshaft
3.msd distrubutor and wires with ignition control module

83-86 trucks with a 460 came from the factory with a Holley 4180 which is a 600cfm carb, so your 670 will be good to go.

Just about EVERY 460 that rolled out of Lima came from the factory with a 600 CFM carb. I'd say with your mod description that you'd be on the high side of acceptable.

Hello, when I first purchased my rebuilt stock 460ci I put a Holley 670cfm street avenger carb on it, It ran Very well and was quite good on fuel, hope this helps.

thanks boys I was going to rebuild my 87 but i bent the frame and the firewall ripped where the clutch sits. and this 670 was origanly going on the 302 f.i converted to carb until i had the old lady engage the clutch and realized the gaping hole lol so now iam going big.
