?'s on Banks

I know how much love there is for Banks.......But one of my customers is a Banks dealer.......Basically he wants to install a Powerpac on my truck.Mind you this is no cost to me...so I am not going to pass it up.Question is....My plan was to put a TW chip in the truck before this came about(That will stay the same w/ the Banks stuff).

Is there anything else I should not install....sell,and get something better in its place?

Thanks guys

its worth it for the intercooler alone! banks does make a pretty good IC for these trucks.

Well I have always gone by this saying, "Free is the right price for me," so i would deffinetly go for it, and then just change what you dont like later on down the road.

nothing wrong with free. like already said, the intercooler alone is worth "free" the exhaust is fine too, actually, the only things i wouldnt use is the chip and trans command, everything else is "run of the mill" performance parts. the only prob with buying from banks is the over pricing that is usually involved with it.

You should not install that system in your truck....send it to me immediately!
I will get rid of it for you

The intake y' pipe and IC is a very good system. Even the programmers are acceptable but you could always change to a TW later on. Not sure about the trans command...I think "The Cure" might be a better option.

transcommand is not so nice, they try to give you firm shifts while moderating the overall commands. it isnt a good system and doesnt work veryu well.

It took longer than I thought for someone to say that.

Thanks for the input.......I am going down to get it installed in a few weeks(my customer is in Tx.).I think I am going to get the TW chip and install at the same time.....I already planned on not putting in the transcommand.

Someone asked.....my truck is an auto.

I was a little worried about the exhaust......the web page says its 3.5.Which is whats on the truck now.

On a side note....did your shift kit Fri night.....LOVE IT!!!!
Wife was not too happy with me using one of her big Tupperware containers for a catch pan though.

Yeah, the transmission aspect of the Banks isn't so great for the PSD's 4 speed auto. Lots of premature failures.

glad you like the the shift kit! too bad about the wife.....er... that must be one heck of a tupperware container....lol

i beleive the 3.5 refers to the downpipe. i dont think there is a performance exhaust less then 4 inch
