another cvr12 with same amp??

Ive been wanting to get another CVR12 sub for awhile but cant afford the Kicker zx750.1 amp right now. Could I go ahead and get another cvr12 and wire it to my zx400.1 amp? My amp puts out 485rms. So I would have 2 cvrs powered by 1 zx400.1 amp.

About 240rms each sub. Would this give me some more bass then just running 1 with 485 watts? Or should I just keep my current setup and save for the 750.1 and another cvr12?

Depending on the ohm load you have the sub at with now with the amp and what it would change it to with the second sub, may or may not work. If the amp is ok at the new ohm load then you should hear a difference just by doubling your cone area.

So if you did hook up another sub to it, it would either change the ohm load to 1ohm of 4ohm

1ohm may be too low to run the amp. It would get hot quickly. Not saying it can't be done, but it comes with risk.

4ohm would have your amp running at half the power it is now, then you divide that by the number of subs.

yea I would rather not run 1ohm and 120rms each isnt enough so dont want to do 4ohms

I dont know what amp I can use now because ill either have to run 1ohm or 4.. the kicker 750.1 is 750rms at 2ohms and like 375 at 4...

I dont know what to do now. Right now im thinking another Kicker zx400.1 amp. I guess I would have to get a D block and and RCAs to wire them both together.

Just a suggestion here, but you could run a sundown saz 1000d. They put out a little more than 1000 watts at 1 ohm. It is also only about $400
