Are you quiting cold turkey?

I used the prescription pill Chantix about 8 months ago, still not smoking, that stuff worked great for me. From almost 3 packs a day, and 35 yrs of the habit, to zero cigs a day .

Good luck....

Um....I don't think that qualifies as "cold turkey"...I'm using the clock on the wall to stretch time between smoking...thus smoking less and less every week.

OK...call me a "quitter".

After a rather interesting morning (I won't bore you with the details...)

I quit.

I tried to quit on my birthday....30 years old now and I thought 17 years of it was enough but I still can't kick it. I'm either going to have to find more will power or break down and get some sort of aid. I know the nicotine is the addictive chemical but the thing that bothers me the most is the physical habit of putting the cigarette up to my mouth. Of course I know its a bad excuse but at the moment I am miserable at my job so that is stressing me out so that doesn't help.

It ain't easy...I'm still fighting it too. The mint flavored nicorette is a BIG help whenever you're ready...
