grimmy is starting off with a positive reputation.
need 360 help

hey all just pick up a 76 f-150 to go with my 79. the 76 has a 360 in it but it burns alot of oil... were can i pick up a good rebulid kit and any tips and tricks for the 360 thanks for any help

Redmanbob is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Fast Engine Parts there is another guy in AZ thats a pretty good guy PartsDinosaur, Phoenix, Arizona, wholesale engine parts and kits store or something. but ebay has all the guys there Northern and who knows who by now. I used fastengine and have no complaints..they are on ebay just type in 360 rebuild kit and walla you'll find plenty options

Tip #1 Upgrade it to a 390. All you need is the crank and rods from a 390. You can even use the 360 pistons. Powerwise... Night & Day !!

thanks guys after looking at it some more i think i have a bad valve in my head so i will take what you told me look at it. here is nother question will all 390 and fe heads bolt to my 360, i have cobra jet heads but there in rough shape but will all fe heads fit on my 360 thanks for the info

FFR428 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
The CJ heads will fit and bolt on but have larger valves and you might need to notch the bores on the block on the exhaust side. Not a big deal and easy to do. Valve spacing itself is the same as other STD FE heads.
