Where is the best to buy a Fuel filter housing?
I have a 350 Powerstroke 1996 Diesel and need a new bowl. Yep a hole
in it. I wonder if I should replace the pump behind it while I have the bowl
out?
Who has a good price?
The first time Ive done this job before but it wasn't to bad getting the old one out. Im going to replace all the hoses going to it while its out.

Maybe you can get it welded?? Junk yard is the cheapest for the filter housing. If the fuel pump looks original or just really old I would replace it now. At lot easier with the housing removed. Be sure to replace the 3 small fuel lines at the bottom of the housing too.
New Housing here:

MOTORCRAFT Part # FG1054 w/o California Requirements $276.79
MOTORCRAFT Part # FG1055 {#F6TZ9155BB} w/California Requirements $344.79
Cali trucks have a fuel pressure pulse damper (3-3.5 inch round disc) on the fuel pump. The 49 states trucks don't.

Fuel filter from RockAuto a new one
I called them and price seems to be ok but they
could not tell me what all comes with it.
Do I need any orings for connections on the side.
Does all the stuff on the side of the bowl come with
the unit that is held on with two bolts. I unhooked
all the hoses that went to the bowl and one harness.
Then it all came out after I took the back bottom bolts out.
I just want to make sure I get everything Im going to
need to put the new on in and also put a new fuel pump in from them.
Will I get all that I need when I order the FG1054
and a fuel pump for the job. Do I need anything else?
Im going to replace all the hoses going to the bowl.
Any other thing I should need o rings if there are some?
This is my first time replacing one of these.
Thanks for your help

The one I have is from a 95 so it may not be set up exactly like yours. I think its the 96 and up that have the hard line coming up to the bottom of FPR and the 95 has a rubber line as well as the restriction sensor on the 96 is up top and the 95 and earlier is on the back down low. those differences will not cause any issues and it should be an exact fit.
