Can you ID this headlight for me?

It's on my '36 Parts truck...I'd like to run these on my '36, but need to find covers/lenses for the indicator housings on top.

Hey Mike,

I've sent an email to my dad asking him to ID the headlight. If he can't, someone he knows can. It just might take a little time.

Did you say you have a 32 Dodge? My dad recently picked up a 32 Chrysler 5 Window with a Straight-8. Pretty cool solid car. I'll try to find a pic.

Both the Diamond T & the Plymouth look very similar to each other, and to the one pictured above.

FD...my other "project" is a '31 or '32 Dodge Series F-10 Pickup

ND...I did some scrubbing and on the parking housing, is says "deitz 820 B"

Looks like it'll be good hunt for that lens

Not a Dodge. I've got a '40 Plymouth truck, which is the same as a Dodge, and while similar in style, the light is different.

cool head lite .I am not real up on old dodge stuff ,looks like something euopian ok I cant spell.the absence of bulk in the bucket ? heck I dont know . nice barnicles on the hood. I read the reaplys to this thread .. and is any dodge/plymouth nut looking for a very good condition bed ? minus fenders. for real this 40 -41 plymouth bed is in fantastic condition.

Lol...that's just a little moss on the truck It sat under a walnut tree for 40 years.

It's on a 36 Ford PU...I do know the lights have been on it since the mid-50's when my dad bought the truck.

Looks like it'll be tough to find a replacement lense, I might have to try my had with some plexiglass and a die grinder.

The one guy Bruce will find out for you what itis off of. I personally don't know the guy but I have heard that he is real and will answer your question. I have also recently heard that they are reproduceing these same lights for the rodders.
I had a guy here at my place looking for a pair and he is the one I heard it from the Repros that is.
I just returned from Nebraska, and was on a search for some Ford Tin to bring home, and was on the look out for these same lights.
Anyway good luck on your search, once again Bruce will find what they came off of.

Hey Mike- My dad said he thinks they are original to the truck. Have you found any pics of an original or restored one to compare? What makes you think they are not factory items?

Mike I think I found out your Headlight application. I have looked at several of these and they all seem to be same on original Trucks.
Believe it or not 1936 Chev., here is a pic of one.

I kinda thought they "might" be original to the truck...they have the same paint colo in spots as the rest of the truck,,,but my other set of lights (from a '36 also) adio not have the thing on top...just a round headlight.

Looks like I have some possibilities, worst ase I could sell'em to someone that has good glass, but rusted out buckets...but they are so cool looking, I'm going to try my best to run'em

PS-The HAMB...yeah...you always have to expect that...seems the no-brainers answers come from newbies with just a few posts, I guess they're trying to build thier post count up so someday they might be taken seriously.

Bruce is looking into his dietz catalog as well for me...they might have been used (my guess() on sevral different things in the era, so I might be able to broden my search.

ok the lamps have been on say from the 50s, so that sort of reduces the chance of a euopeain typ .the buckets are still too small for generall applications of the time.particularly dodge.heck im not real smart but love old stuff .. anglia they were neat and still are .

I'm with you Dave...I see some reproduction Chrome things for 50 or 60bucks a pair...but something about using 70 YO parts, is just damned fun!

None match these headlamps.

1936 Chevrolet passenger car headlamps mounted to the side of the grille shell. I couldn't find a 1936 Chevy truck pic, none of the cars used these lamps.
