Anyone using this method?

I saw this on the web. Anyone using this method? Sounds to good to be true. Does not have the hazards of biodiesel or the costly conversion.

Diesel Secret Energy

Let me know your thoughts.

Do a search on the forum and you will find Diesel Secret has been discussed here ad nauseum.
The concensus is it's snake oil.

Hi, did a google search based on a testimony given on the DSE website. Here's what I found:

http://www.usc.edu/CSSF/History/2006/Projects/J0203.pdf

It seems at least one of the testimonial accounts can be supported by a little digging. I would assume more could be learned by looking a little farther into the site.

I would think that people who call it snake-oil would want to know what DSE is using so it could be verified without having to spend any money (a big part of the reason we want alternative fuels anyway, cause we're cheap!), but we have to remember that we are in America, the land of the almighty dollar. I don't fault them for keeping their ingredients a secret, they have to make a living somehow. Lord knows that OPEC countries are sticking it to us! You can buy a starter kit for $40 (less than 10 gal diesel) and get enough to make 150 gal of fuel from WVO, which certianly enough of us alternative fuel types all know burns anyway. My two cents.

I read it..............Pure B.S.

Show me a LONG TERM test, done by a reputable source.

I can run a diesel on most anything liquid that will burn. That alone does not make it a viable fuel.

Anyone can run a diesel on waste veggie oil, or waste motor oil, IN THE SHORT TERM, BUT long term studies show that unheated veggie oil results in catastrophic engine failure.

What costly conversion are you talking about.
If you want to run BD in your truck just fill up the tank.

i have had used this product before. im with the biodiesel club from the hight school i go to.
the teacher and i bout a bottle of this dse and ran a batch as the instructions said, it ran in my 85 f-250 6.9 and his diesel car great. but when we used up all the dse oil we dicided to run a batch with out it, it ran great as well. we have probably made 1000 gallons of just used (filtered) oil + 20% diesel + 5% gas and have had no problems

I don't use the DSE potion, but fuel blending continues to work for me.
