97 E150 anti lock brake question

I just bought a 97 E 150 van with anti lock brakes. The brakes work fine but the pedal is soft. I bled the brakes but it didn't change anything. The abs light comes on sometimes. Is there any special procedure for bleeding or anything else I should know? TIA, Thunderbolt

Presume you have RABS? How did you bleed brakes, pressure bleeding, suction bleeding or stroking the pedal? Did you replace any part of the brake system? Did you bleed the RABS valve? Did you check that automatic rear brake adjusters were working?
