I just want to wake them up and hopefully make some jerks riding their 10 speeds in the middle of the road fall over
that and for the fellows rattling their door panels with music is why I want to install some air horns. Can't leave out cell phone users too

If anyone says they have a 175 decible air horn, that is probably measured right at the horn outlet. Sound intensity falls off rapidly when dealing with distances close to the source. I would say this horn is fine for getting those morons that ride their bikes in the middle of the street out of the way.

Why don't you just drive this then?
If I was riding my bike and looked in the rearview mirror, I'd move too !

Ive got a log truck long bell air horn and a little cheepy i found at a flee market. I havent hooked them up yet, but when i got the long bell, i drove around with an air compresser just to go wake up my friend at 5 in the morning and it was loud. I say go loud as you can. you can always tone it down. (but why would you?)

I'm not sure about where you are, but in my city, train horns are illegal. So I'd say, check your local laws. If its not illegal by you, go AS LOUD AS YOU CAN!!!

And if it is illegal, either hide it, or make it so you can quick connect it and be able to pull it off right after you touch it off at 3 in the morning in the middle of town.

If you check e-bay you can find real train horns off locomotives. The sound is unlike anything out there, but you need a good compressor and more importantly a large tank for air.

We've used them for years and you can hear them for miles. You need to hook them up with copper tubing and we use the valves used on locomotives.

It works for us because we are railroad workers and can get lots of stuff on the job.

Even with a huge tank, you can only get a 10 second blast between minute-long tank chargings, but these things do get attention.

It's the real thing and some of the multi-chime horns are magnificent.

I know a guy with an old Kenworth thats painted John Deere green. Anyways its got a train horn mounted to it. Its controlled by a large ball valve. That horn is so loud. Ill never forget the time he got drunk and lit that thing off at midnight at a tractor pull, facing a huge row of motorhomes.

Little Help Here!

Hey I'm trying to put one of these train horns in my truck, but I'm wondering where the best place is to put everything. I have an 02 F-150. Has anyone done this before?
