do I need a bigger rad?

I have an 87 150 302 4spd mechanical fan. I installed a 193 ford t stat & it cools fine all winter & usually ok in the summer. On the highway it runs fine then when I get in traffic it spikes up to 210 to 220. I wonder if the rad is bad. Maybe I should get a bigger rad from a salvage yard? If so what should I look for, a 460 or diesel rad? While at the salvage yard should I look for an electric fan? If I tow with the current set up forget it it runs hot 220+ I dont see any antifreeze in the oil, & dont appear to be burning any. Any thoughts on the subject will be appreciated. Thanks Todd.

when new, the radiator system was fine.

so the radiator is dirty, partially clogged, contaminated.
Air flow through radiator is low.
idling high temps is fan, which would cool off at 45+ mph.

Thanks. I bought used & dont know how old the rad is. It looks awful small though. I think I may get a bigger rad & check into an e fan.
