what is a muffler that could make a civic sound deep (im not driving one) any tricks to make them louder? and please dont say flowmaster they are way to high pitch for my 300
bigger exhaust pipe...bigger tip...the shorter the muffler the better, less restriction the better...which brings me back to my favorites...glasspacks.

Ben
i dont have one on hand, but on youtube there are quite a few clips ranging from V6ers to V10s with cherrybomb extreme mufflers.. just type it in "cherrybomb extreme"
but this is what mine sounds like (again this isn't my truck just for the record). i have the exuast pipe exiting in the stock location
Dang, I like the sound of that, though it is probably too quite for some people. Myself, I like the tone, and I don't like obnoxiously loud mufflers, especially since I frequently do long distance drives and loud exhausts always wear me out. That and I like to hear my stereo without having to turn it up to ear splitting levels.

I appreciate that, but I should point out what you don't hear. It did sound somewhat ricey at certain RPM's, and because I didn't have a turn down the droning in the cab at 45MPH+ would give me a headache before long.
I messed with mine a bit more and it's smooth now. Looking back I wish I had gone with Magnaflow, but I didn't hear any I really liked on YouTube, save one( it was a 4.0 Mustang). All the 6's with Flowmasters caught my attention.
Now I have only a highflow cat paired with a Flowmaster Super 40 w/ turndown. So if you're considering GOING WITH FLOWMASTER, look into Magnaflow first.

Well, the recording doesn't always capture everything. It sounded good in the clip though. A 50 series would have probably been better based on what you described.
