well im little more complex than that. for you seven words, you don't know what your talking about. if the filter was clogged then it wouldnt make any difference which tank i was on, they both share the filter. seems all answers in these forums are= plugs, plug wires, rotor, cap, fuel filter and any other sensor any one can name or think of. im finding these forums are more like a chat room than a fix it forum. i havent read any post yet that any one has said, great, thanks, that was it. kinda like just start replacing parts untill you get it right=parts replacer, not mech. oh well its interesting to see how many people have the same problems, and see how many dont find a solution, good bye and happy trails to you all.

Check the nut behind the wheel. If it has a pointed head, there is no help.

What a blowhard... Hey take your truck to another Jiffy Tune, maybe they can find the problem for you!

BTW, my '85 had the same problem when I bought it, turned out that the timing was not set with the spout connector disconnected as required. Quick fix and even improved my milage. Sounds like you may have a clogged pickup screen on your side tank (hmmm, wouldn't that be a fuel filter???). Good riddance pal.

FTE, yet another reason to have a networked PC in the garage!

The other side of green...

Whoever said fuel filter still may be correct even if they share one main filter there is sock filter in the tank which may be restricted or the fuel switching valve.

Whoops! I thought we all had a crystal ball into which we peer intently though briefly and come with the definitive and all inclusive cure for any poorly articulated symptom on a vehicle a thousand miles away that comes across this forum. Where did we go wrong?
