Hers the cage I've been making the last few days. I thought it would be cool to make some new doors out of the same tube for the summer coming up with a connection that will just be two round bar pins pointing downward and into a hinge on vertical cage post. The latch will bolt to the striker bolt somehow??? I'll figure it out. Not done it all yet I still wanna finish the door with another vertical tube on the end with some 90 degree elbows for a clean fit(ran out of material ..). I will then put tabs with holes running on the inside of each sqaure hole to bolt up a piece of stainless sheets with grade 8 bolts!!! I'll keep the pics posted as I build. I plan on painting my truck here real soon so I want to paint it all the same color of the body then wrap it in some foam cage wrap.....
O yeah here's the 79' dana 60 front me and my bro picked up yesterday I was talking about. It was 750$ for the whole truck!!! We took everything. All body panels, axles, ect.Only thing we scrapped was the cab and box and it was in really good shape it was just way to expensive to tow the whole truck 5 hour drive from home.
lol, no I meant on the d60.. me and kjett spent a whole day grinding down the tube on an 89 60 because the spring perch is cast on that side to make room for the radius arms. looks like you have plenty of room on that '79 d60 though. Tube doors look pretty cool.

Yeah I'm building two cages! I spent all tonite working on mine again. I'm building one for my bro as well I might as well all I have to do is make all the cuts twice. My bro was pretty stoked to only pay 750$ for that d60 he just bought a 410 gear set tonite because it was 354 and didnt match. I know 410 isn't crazy low but wait till I fab in the dual transfer case from north west fab works in our trucks.... next project after cage, motor build, and paint.......
pretty much. He's had his for 10 years I've had mine for 3. I've help build everything on his basically learning everything I know, then I decided to build my own. I basically try to build mine just a little bigger, meaner, and stronger in everyway...lol . He's just trying to keep up now
