Question Can I add Sirius module to 08 F250?

Hi all, this is my first post. I have a new 08 F250 Crew cab. I am considering adding a Sirius module and antenna. Most likely from Ebay purchase. There are a few ford Sirius modules for sale at times on Ebay. I have the standard stereo, with a single Cd player and an AUX button. Is there a good chance that the wiring is already in place for the Sirius module? I understand it should be near the steering column, underneath and left? What would the plug(s?) look like. Is there something special about the antenna connector? Are the antenna connectors all alike? Can I get any car antenna for this module, if I decide to take the plunge? Thanks for any and all info!

If you do not have the sat button on your radio I don't think you can add on the factory satellite unit. I'm pretty sure you will have to go with an aftermarket unit and use an adapter to hook it up to the Aux input.

That may be true, and thanks for the reply. However, A friend just bought a F150 w/Sirius. You access the Sirius by way of the aux button, on the exact same radio as I have in my truck. This is why I'm asking questions, to find out about the possibilities.

If you have the single CD player you can add the Sirius module to your vehicle. According to the Ford ordering guide, the only radio you cannot get Sirius with is the base AM/FM radio. On an '08 SD the tuner module would be located below the steering column. Look in that general area for the factory plug, should be black in color with about 9 wires in it. As far as the antenna is concerned, you will probable have to get it from a dealer or eBay. It's a two piece design for where it connects at the roof mounting point.

So, now I know what type of plug to look for. Thanks.
