Just changed the PCV valve, air filter, new Autolite plugs, Accel SuperStock Spiral wires, distributor cap, and the rotor. After changing the wires, the engine doesn't idle well and almost dies completely under a load. Is there an issue with the spiral wires and the engines electronic ignition?

Also, does this engine use a seperate breather filter for the PCV system? I can't find where it goes if it does. Looks like the PCV system gets clean air from the plenum from the air filter.

I know, I know. I should have compared/labeled/replaced one at a time to make sure the firing order was right. A frustrating lesson learned.

BTW, the Haynes manual indicates one firing order for 95 and later and another for 94 and earlier. Mine is a 94 and uses the one labeled for 95 and later. I signed up for a subscription to www.alldatadiy.com and downloaded the TSB for correct wire routing to avoid cross-fire on the 302.
