99 F250 ???

I am looking at a 99 f250 XL SRW crew cab with a powerstroke and 303000 miles. The truck itself appears to be well maintained but I have no way of knowing any of the real maintnance that was actually done. My question is what is a fair price, $6000?, and what sort of maintnance issues would I expect with a powerstroke with these miles on it? I plan on using it to tow my 27ft 5th wheel camper, round trips of 500 miles at the most. Any info or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks Bryan

if the truck has been maintained well, that motor should have another 200k on it. the only things to worry about are the other wear and tear items (shocks, ball joints, belts, transmission etc.). i would think in good condition you could easily get far more than 6 grand worth of work or use out it.

I would have it checked over by a mechanic so you will know what it needs
and how much you will need to spend on it. If it is decent shape, $6000. is not a bad price. I would get a Qasis on it and a Carfax. The Oasis will tell of all the repairs made at
a Ford dealership. The Carfax will show its history as far as owners, wrecks, water damage, etc.
If well maintained it still has some life left in it.
Good luck,
