If the programming isn't correct, replacing the trans wont fix it. Its still controlled by the computer.

Well I got a call from Detroit last night and they said that I do not know how to drive. Their engineers said there is nothing wrong with my truck. I am now waiting for the person who i talked to have their boss to call me tomorrow.

Guys,

I don't want to just close the discussion down, so please keep the FTE Guidelines in your thoughts:

8. Legal Actions .
  • You may not use this site to discuss or organize any legal action including, but not limited to, class-actions. FTE does not give legal advice or host legal discussion. If you have any legal questions or concerns, please consult your attorney.

I've got an '07 ST also and have heard of this numerous times from people. There have been quite a few TSB's released for the tranny, but I don't think Ford has the bugs worked out yet. Luckily, mine is running pretty good and I haven't had to deal with this yet, but please keep us updated on how its going and what Ford is telling you on it!

Well Ford Called Today And Stated They Are Backing What The Dealer Is Saying That There Is Nothing Wrong With The Transmission, Its The Driver. Well Im Going To Contact Another Dealer On Monday So I Can Drop It Off With Them To Look Into The Problem. Depending On What This Dealer Says It Think Now Is The Time To Start The Lemon Law Process.

I've experienced these types of frustrations with various dealreships for numerous issues on my ford cars. Rarely on my trucks. It is my belief that fords are among the best built american cars and trucks but unfortunately dealerships have inexperienced mechanics who do not have the knowledge or incentive to think outside of the box. If their diagnostic computer system does not see a problem, they believe you don't have one. For this reason, I think going to another dealership service department is a good idea. Another idea might be to take it to a transmission shop that can honor factory warranties. I know of at least one here. These guys know everything about trannys. It's their livelyhood. It's no wonder that people are buying japanese.
