351 cleveland swap?

I have a 69 Bronco, that I want to swap a 351 cleveland into. I am currently running a 302 bolted to a NP435. Is there anyone out there who has done this swap?

By the way the bronco has a long list of mods including:
Big Bearing 9", 31 spline alloy axles, Detroit locker, Reverse cut Dana 44, Track Lock, 4.56 gears, I already mentioned the NP435 Transmission, 6" long travel suspension by Bent & Twisted 4wheel drive, 2" Body Lift, 37" Toyo MTs, Stock Dana 20 T-Case (for now), Custom 6 pt cage, and power steering out of a 77 Bronco. It wont win any beauty contests, but it a lot of fun to drive. I will get some pictures on here soon.

Motor mounts bellhousing and flywheel are all the same but I don't know if they fit in early broncos. Interesting swap never seen it done before.

Thanks for the info. I was pretty sure it would bolt up, but I have a feeling I might have to cut out some of the wheel wells, and I might have an issue with the steering linkage, I was just wondering if anybody out there has tried this. I know a guy that had a 460 in an early bronco, so I know it can be done. Its just a matter of how much work, and money it is going to take.

I thought I'd join just to help you a bit, I hope. I have a 74 that had 351 C in itat one time. I am petty sure they use the 302 mounts, the bell houseing is the same, not sure about the clutch. They had to notch the power brake booster braket a bit on the bottom so the valve cover would clear. If you want send me a pm and I can probly did up some pictures for you.

Yes, it can be done. 302 mounts work. Go to classicbroncos.com and do a search for a guy named MadGyver. He will tell you all about it.

I am currently working on putting a 400 in mine. Welcome to the 335 dark side!

Hey Dale,
I'm running a Cleveland in my 69. Its a direct bolt in but you need a 3 in body lift to clear the driver valve cover and you will need Sanderson street rod headers OR cut and reweld the pass exhaust manifold. Swap out the factory carb link for a BC Broncos throttle cable and it will make your life easier. Its also 90lbs heavier than a "small" block so be sure your suspension is up to it...especially if you have a winch.
Welcome to the dark side....
