31 year old springs ?

Does anyone know roughly how much 2wd front coils sag after 31 years and are new springs alot stiffer , I had cut 2 coils out and had the I beams bent and just needs to be stiffer . The ride is ok but if I got new springs and cut the same 2 coils out do you think it would be same height or taller ? 1 inch would be fine the camber is a hair neg by the alignment shop , any ideas ? Thanks .

I wondering this myself. Getting ready to refurbish the frame and suspension and was wondering if new springs were worth the cost over just sandblasting and painting the stockers.

Who knows? But they are tired after 31 years and miles and miles of being compressed. Replace them while you have a chance. The ride will improve greatly. Springs don't cost that much.

I bought 1.5" lift springs for a 94 4x, cut the tang off and then adjusted the height by cutting them and re installing. It works.
