Chip for old 302 truck

I am considering buying a chip for my old '86 F150 with a 302. I am a little hesitant because I'm wondering if it would do any harm to my truck. But Venom claims a 25% power gain, which is hard to turn down. Is the Vemon chip a good one? Has anyone used any of the chips?

Venom isn't a chip. Its a ten cent resister, in a nice box.

Ok, then. Well I'm glad I asked. Screw that. I guess I'll concentrate on other upgrades... Thank you!
