Came in off the interstate after driving about 10 miles and parked the Bronco in my garage. Noticed about 10 minutes later, condensation lying in the tailpipe. Where could this have come from? I know there may be some condensation after starting up in the morning, but not after driving on the interstate. Condensation was clear, no anti-freeze present. Started the Bronco back up and let it idle and it dripped quite a bit and then disappeared. Any ideas? This has got me stumped.
ambient air temperature and humidity are the most likely culprits. if you are really worried, pull your codes and check your plugs to see what is happening

helirich: Temperature was in the 80's. Already warming up in Florida. Had a cheap re-built water pump and 195 degree T-stat installed just prior to the excess condensation. Since then, had the garage remove the NAPA rebuilt water pump and t-stat (195 release) and install a new motorcraft pump and correct t-stat (192 degree release). Cannot understand how the two things are related, but the condensation has disappeared except in the morning after 1st start-up. Perhaps you can offer an explanation. Thanks again for the post.
TimmyAbrams: Thanks for the post. see above note to helirich. What do you think? Do you think I still need to have the garage pull some codes and do the plugs. Also, during the period in which the NAPA re-built and 195 degree t-stat were on the Bronco, my gas mileage plummeted. New motorcraft pump and stat and all seems normal again. Any explanation for this?

It sounds like the cheapie setup was not letting your rig wam up. If the cheap thermostat was bad it would have opened early and you would have gotten both your symptons - bad mileage and condensation in the exhaust.
BTW, the exhaust always has about the same amount of water vapor, it's justs that when the engine is cold it turns from a gas back into liquid and that's why you see the cloud and water drops.
