That has been floating around for awhile, and I believe there was some discussion on the board about it.Dont think it is going to happen because Cat doesnt want to fool around with all the emissions crap that vehicle engine manufactures are having to deal with.

They already deal with the emissions on the motors they make now. Last I heard production capacity would be the biggest hurdle for cat, but that could just be a rumor as well.

Ford already has a deal with CAT for their engines. It's available in the 650 & up series. The in house 4.4L & 6.7L will be the next engines we see.

The CAT rumor in the Super Duty has been floating around almost as long as the Ford owns Cummins rumor.

It is to my understanding that the '09 model year will be the last year that CAT will be offered in the F-650/F-750...

I hadn't heard that, but then again I'm no longer in the market for a 650. Besides I haven't really followed much about CAT since I had a 3208 self destruct on me a few years back. Kind of left a bad taste in my mouth.

Considering it appears International and Ford are parting company, will there even be a F650/F750 in the 2010 or later model years?

There sure is a F-650/F-750 in the works for 2010 and beyond. As you have already mentioned, it will not be in partnership with Navistar.

F-650/750 would make a nice chassis for a super "C" motorhome
