Indentify thump sound in right front.

I have noticed this thump, occasionally for the last month or so... I back up and shift to drive, turning to the right, with forward movement I hear a soft thump, coming from the right front. Any ideas?

This is an '03 with 96k, so I'm getting close to a 100k service.

Possibly a CV joint going bad.

Do you have a guess as to the cost to have it repaired?

Can I wait until the 100k service?

You might at well go ahead and have your 100,000 mile service a bit early. Can't help you with the cost on the CV joint though, haven't had to replace on.
