Question 460 fuelie- compared to carb'd motor

I have a 94 460 out of a parts truck and was wondering how valuable it is to me. How different is the block/bottom end of this motor in comparison to a carb motor? I understand the heads are different, just wondering if this motor is scrap weight or worth keeping around. thanks.

I'd at least keep the shortblock. I think it's pretty much the same as the older ones except for balance and a few other minor differences. Find an older set of heads or aftermarket aluminum ones and you'll have a nice carb motor.

I just swaped a 94" FI into an 87' F350. I used an adapter plate and put on a new Holley. Runs well. Depending on the condition and miles on the motor, it could be very usable. Swapping the stock motor into another vehicle is do-able but quite alot of electrical work to get the fuel injection/sensors right unless it's going into the same type/yr of vehicle it came from. The carb option makes it a no-brainer.
