Pester our mutual friend Jon again...he was a line mechanic at Slick (that's right, Slick) Ford in Venice CA in the 1960's. He also worked for Ladd Ford, when Slick sold out.

Jon and I have juxtaposing traits.

'Ol Jon was a Ford mechanic before he became a Studebaker mechanic.

I was a Studebaker partsman (1960/62) before I became a Ford partsman.

WALFORD'S 56 is starting off with a positive reputation.
Thanks N.D. AND I will call him today. He was busy before, and maybe time for me now. If this oil condition is not remedied--I will not be driving the 56 south. I am fighting an uphill battle with wife on this anyhow. Thanks N.D.

I am sooo sorry N.D. FOR NOT MAKIN' THE NAT'S!! I wanted to meet ya,and sorry for not bringin the 56 camper machine!! It is actually nice inside and I emulated my 5th wheels interior from the ones I used to own. Maybe you would have been able to stay longer if you would have had some quarters to lay down in and my 56 would have fit the bill.!!!
I am ready tonight to roll down south tonight, and hopefully get some warm weather. I will bring home a load of 56 parts from lastchance56. Bill

Well I am back and ready to re-install the valve-train and fix the tick and oil issue. My back is getting unbearable, but I will do what I can. I bought a bunch of 56 parts and some new stuff,so lot to do. thanks
