Thanks for the encouragement George . . . that IS your name isn't it? It's not like some secret codeword/sexual inuendo type deal right??
lol
seriously though, thanks for the encouragement. I agree with you, we should get back to our 3 or 4 guys meets . . . that has always worked when we knew it was just gonna be us 4 lol and we had a decent time.
actually, we had some fun . . . definitely some funny/good memories were made
i think we should go back to basics and if/when it grows from there then great!
warning south florida people!
i will plan yet another meet! and this time, while I can't promise hooters will give prizes to give away or have the hooters girls dance for us or whatever it is they do for only 4 guys showing up, i CAN promise that there WILL be a meet and we WILL have some kinda fun!
be affraid, be very affraid! lol
I'm also gonna copy your telling lies and stretching them later on system there George!
This just in! There will be a hot air balloon race at the next South Florida truck meet!
AND, so long as you are successful at evading capture from the police that the hot air balloon rental guy called, whoever wins the race, gets to keep the hot air balloon they are riding in!!!
ok, I'll work on that last part lol

yes but you all must ride in the balloon at the same time . . . the free ride is contingent on whether or not you can make the balloon rise

Monty seems to have fallen off the face of the earth, and I haven't spoken to Al in over a year. If we get something planned, I'll call al and let him know.
Man I miss BOTH of those trucks (for those that don't know, my trucks were the purple one on the right in the first pic and the white one on the left in the second pic)
i worked SO frickin hard on that grill and the headlight bezels
i sanded them by hand and painted them and wet-sanded them and painted them again sanded and painted one last time and wet sanded again
i remember rushing through it cause the meet was coming up
if you notice, my truck is missing the corner lights
i think that's because the bezels weren't dry yet (i was still painting and sanding the morning of the meet lol) so i couldnt put them back on and the wifey was getting pissed that i was taking so long and was gonna be late to the meet
sadly enough, it was because she didnt want the 2 or 3 other guys who were going, to think that i wasnt coming and have them leave which actually i think almost happened lol
that was definitely one of our crappier meets huh Dave? lol
that purple truck in the first pic converted the first meet into a working session lol
these guys went to town in the engine bay saying things like "no i think this goes HERE doesnt it?" and "wait, what is THIS thing?" lol
now that i think of it . . . the engine never did start again after that
it had to be towed back to my house by Dave . . . he/that is the reason I now carry a tow strap in my truck at all times lol
you never know right?
good times, good times
still, i miss those trucks so bad.

Well, at least part of that blue truck still lives on! LOL
I still got your trailer hitch on my truck!!!!
Yeah, that was an interesting meet. That blue truck was running like crap... Vacuum leaks and exhaust leaks EVERYWHERE. Loose Vacuum lines, rusted out EGR Valve. Talk about a Basket Case.
we spent about an hour re-doing Vacuum lines and Blocking off the EGR.
You started it up, and turned it around to take the pictures. turned it off, and that was it!!! It never started again, LOL
The tow home was interesting... We went offroading (to get around the closed gate) and outran / ditched the "state trooper" that was following us!
