Most Miles Out Of Original Injection Pump?

I was just wondering whom has gotten the most miles out of their original 6.9-7.3 injection pump? Mine has 160,000 miles and I'm debating on whether to replace it.

The 91 F-350 still starts and runs good but after recently replacing the injectors it still seems to be down on power.Should I try advancing the timing a little?

I went 900 miles over the weekend pulling my 25 ft gooseneck.Empty I only got 10 MPG and pulling a 7000 lb load with alot of wind drag it only got 6 mpg.The wind was blowing pretty hard.I usually get 1 mpg better than that.I'm in 4th loaded and some hills required 3rd gear.

I got 200,000 miles out of my IP before it started leaking really bad. I have since replaced it with a new one and turned up the pump a little.

FORD MEGA CAB!!! is starting off with a positive reputation.
As for changing the injection pump, if it works fine I would leave it alone or keep as a spare. I purchsed a core real cheap off ebay $35 and Im going to have it rebuilt soon. I am then going to put the rebuilt one on and keep the one I pulled as a spare (I keep all sorts of spare parts with me in the truck along with the tools to change them) So then if it does go, I can change it wherever Im at and keep going if it fails 800 miles from the house. Besides, who keeps one of the injection pumps in stock anymore if yours does fail.?! I just don't trust that little injection pump with all them percision moving parts that could fail at any moment that you can't fix on the side of the road.

Right now mine has 25,000 miles on it or more with no trouble. I don't know how long its been on cause I have only had this 1993 7.3 truck for a year now with 189,000 miles. It looks fairly new or rebuilt cause it clean and not factory painted as the motor is.

Your mpg and power loss could be only the switch to ULSD. I might sound like broken record but it could be the case.

I would agree.

Also something as simple as a change in wind direction from normal could cause a 1 MPG loss or grater.

I have about 220,000 on my original IP I'm on my second set of injectors had one leaking so replaced them all while I was there and will probly rebuild then as spares or if I can figure out whats so special about DPS stage 1s

Visually I can tell you there is no pintle sticking out of the nozzle on DPS Stage 1 injectors like there is on stock injectors.
