Audio system specification for 2004
I am trying to find out the specification on the audio system that is in my 2004 FX4. I really like the sound and want to replicate that in my Jeep (at least close to it).
1) What brand and size speakers? Coax or woofers and tweeters separate?
2) What kind of amp? What RMS output of amp? multi-channel or mono-amp?
3) Does it have a sub-woofer? If yes, what size?
Any other information on the system will be greatly appreciated.

i don't know what exact models have it but i know for sure that lariats and KR's have it but we got a hole in the top for a tweeter.
if you want to be cheaper, get a nice stereo, a 4 or 5 channel amp. you could either run 4 speakers off 2 channels and then run a sub off the other channels, or just get a 5 channel amp and run 1 by 1 channel.

Strangely enough your not the first person I've seen try to replicate one of these stock systems. Not sure who makes the door speakers, I doubt any reputable company would want to own up to making them.
They ones that came out of my truck (premium) are 4 ohm 25watt speakers that say "Made in China". They are crap and have been replaced with Polk Audio Coaxial in the back and JL Audio Components in the front.
My wife's Expy (Audiophile) are 4" Midrange and 1" tweeters in a 5x7 baffle. They too say 4 ohm 25 watt and "Made in China". They too are crap and have been replaced with Polk Audio db571's all the way around. I'm not sure of the exact sensitivity of the stock speakers, but I assume it's in the 85db range. Which is crap.
If your truck has an amp to power a rear seat sub it is probably a 2ohm setup and will be rated at no more than 75 watts. It will be a mono amp. I believe the sub is an 8inch paper cone sub. It too will be crap.
I put a Pioneer Nav in my truck and the stock amp in the radio (50wX4 peak)powers my Polks and JL's just fine. I have a seperate amp powering a single 10" JL sub in the back. Sounds crystal clear at volume.
