Casting Numbers

Can anybody decode this casting number for me? It is off a 351 windsor.

E3AE-8015-BA-22

Above and to the right of this number was 4818.

Those are the numbers the best that i can read them but i wouldn't be surprised if some 8's are actually B's.

The best i can read is that it is a 1983 engine. What do the rest of the number mean?

LAST EDITED ON 28-Oct-01 AT 01:58*AM (EST)[p]The BA-22 is the design changes suffix.
I would think by the amount of characters it has, it's had quite a few design changes.

I haven't figured out the Multiple characters yet,but I'm working on it !

The 4818 is probably * 4B18 * which translates to the part being Cast on February 18,1984
