High Idle on 1987 302.

My dad has a 1987 F-150 with a rebuilt 302 EFI in it. For about three months now, it's been idling high. Mainly when it's cold, but sometimes even after it has warmed up. He's spent several hundred dollars and at least two shops have tried to get it to idle down, without any luck. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Check to see if it has a sensor in the radiator. My '85 300I6 had one that controled the high idle. If it has one and you disconnect it and the engine races, then it controls the high idle and may be faulty.
