The only Ford small block that use an additional balancer behind the balancer is the high performance 289.

If I'm not mistaken, ALL ford small blocks are externally balanced and use "extra" weights behind the balancer AND on the flywheel/flexplate to balance the engine. Somewhere in the mid 80's, the 5.0 went from a 20 oz weight to the now heavier 50 oz weight.

If you mean an offset weight balancer, all small blocks do. If you mean a counterweight seperate from the balancer, then only the high performance 289 does. Clarify your questions, and you'll get the correct answer much quicker.
