My check engine light comes on when idling and goes out when I give it some throttle.I have just gone through a rebuild and had to put a new EGR on.I lost my smooth idle and off throttle is bad and it uses way to much fuel.I haven't been able to make this engine run right over the whole range. Thanks Ron

You need to retrieve the codes from the computer. If you have a 95 or earlier, I believe you can buy one of the cheap code readers from the parts store and see what kind of code you are getting. Or you can do it this way. Look on this site.
