93 F-150 302 Valve ping

About 2 months ago, my 93 F-150, 302 with 44,000 miles (yup...only 44K) started having valve ping while under moderate to heavy accleration. I've never run anything but the 87 octane and with gas prices in Hawaii, don't want to move up to the higher octanes...not to mention I shouldn't have to. Anyway, new plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor didn't help...any. Could I have a bad knock sensor? My Haynes book talks about one but it doesn't tell where it is. Any clues or advice? Also does this truck have the Mass Airflow Sensor, the Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor, or both? I'm finding contradictory info. Thanks.
