Intake runner question

Hi all, I have a question regarding the intake I installed (see my other thread if you're interested). It's an Offy dual plane. One of the planes feeds runners that are farily large. The other plane feeds somewhat smaller runners. What is the proper way to orient the 4-barrel carb? Do the primaries go to the large runners and the secondaries go to the small runners, or is it the other way around? Thanks!

Orient the carb with the primaries next to the engine since that is the primary side of the Offy DP. From the pics it looks like it is setting right...nice!

You should get good velocity and vacuum through the primaries...kinda the way they are designed for that snappy low to mid range driveability and mpg. Is that a 500 cfm Edelbrock?

Thanks so much for your help Harte3. Yes that is a 500 CFM. Right now I'm figuring out how I want to go about setting up the linkage.

Looking good! That carb should give you the performance you want...and mpg too once you get over the "teenager" events.

After getting those headers "weaseled" in the linkage shouldn't be much of a challenge. You'll get there.
