i am seriously thinking about putting a supercharger on my truck!! im 19 and in the marines here in yuma az , and all i have to do is mess with my truck when im not workin on jets! every one gives me **** because i dont want to lift it 8" and make it a mudder!! ill prolly put a leveling kit on it thats about it! but i would like some pros and cons on supercharging because i dont want to make a blind decision.. am i going to have to get a different tranny, rearend etc. any feed back would be great! i also am having custom exhaust put on it next week coming out in front of the wheel, cant wait to hear how it turns out!!
I say sense you have the money just go a head and spend it on a turbo kit. you won't see to much of a drop in mpg plus who doesn't like the sound of an airplane?

I have a Roush charged 2008 SCrew, with 5.4L engine. I get 16.5 or so overall mpg, with the ethanol blend. 17.5-18.0 with 100% gasoline. That's with fairly spirited daily driving. Obviously, if I keep my foot in it, MPG drops precipitously. I couldn't be happier with my SCrew.

Are you hand calculating this, or relying on the computer display? The computer is notoriously wrong, especially if a charger is added. Roush rates the supercharged F150s at 8 mpg city, 11 mpg highway.
