carb swap holley to carter

a buddy has a carter off of a 400 wants to replace his holley on his 351w with it cool? or troubles ahead? should he consider a diffrent cfm? what cfm is recomended? thanks

How To Calculate CFM:
Engine size (CID) x maximum RPM / 3456 = CFM
CFM @ 100% volumetric efficiency
