52 F-3 box floor ???

I need the dimensions for the cross sills under the floor of my F-3 bed. I can determine the length ok but need to know how tall they are. They are not all the same . It looks like three of them set on the frame and the mounting bolts go through but I'm not sure the others are that tall.
Any info or where I might find the info appreciated.

I did mine quite a few years ago and don't remember exactly how everything went together. I know the two center braces had to have an angled notch cut into them to accomodate the rise in the frame. I don't have my truck out of storage yet, hopefully soon, so I can't get to it to take decent pictures and measurements. If no one else replies I'll try to get something on in the next week.

See if this helps. The outboard supports are 2" wide x 2.5" tall. And like you said, you have to "trim to fit" over the frame rails. The inboard supports are the same 2" wide but are 1.75" tall at their widest. As you'll see in the pic, they too have to be chiseled to fit over the frame rails, but also need to be notched to accept the metal strengthening pieces that mount on their ends.

Please ignore the torture this frame had inflicted upon it. That is the life M-Hs commonly have lived.

Hey guys.
Thanks for the pics and info.
I had it figured close from what was left of the old pieces but was not sure if the two center ones were really shorter or just notched deeper for the frame.
It looks like the ones with the mounting bolts through them had rubber pads between them and the frame and I assume the other ones being the same height would have 1/8 or so clearance between them and the frame. Does this seem right?
I have new ones cut out a little oversize and just need to dress them down to fit properly. Hope to get it done this week.

When I pulled this one apart there were no pads under any of the boards. And I've not seen any on my other trucks. That doesn't mean, though, that they wouldn't have been there on yours. A discussion of these bed supports came up over on the Bonus Built site a while back, and it was obvious from that discussion that not all the production plants did things exactly the same way. So, I'd say do what works.

Contact Roger Phillps, rcav8or. He has the bed off of his F-2, he should be able to take some nice pictures for you. I just checked and he's on line right now.
