I'm not sure if I posted this video up here or not, but here is a decent video of the sound of mine while working.

Hooker Aerochamber with both stock cats on. SO quiet now. Will be ditching stock stuff soon and doing a new Y pipe and single cat

300 > Hedman split headers > 2 1/4" piping to single Flowmaster Super 44 > 90 degree to side with 2 1/2" piping.

Just a temporary thing until I get my dual setup going.

I've always said the 300 sounds a bit like a Cummins.

My Exhaust tone through a dodge dakota muffler. Parts guy showed me the stock and I picked the muffler that might work. I made it work by installing it upside down.

... it's quieter than I expected from the exhaust, and noisier in timing gears than I thought.

This is a unique one
1977 f100
stock manifold
stock cat
had a glasspack but it cracked completely in 2 so essentially straight piped dumping just behind cab (see video it shows what’s going on) sounds pretty good to me but it’s my truck so you know how that goes. If it sounds terrible let me know I’m not an “exhaust note connoisseur.”

78 f100
flow-master 50
3 inch pipe
no cat

So with all the trouble i have had with ignition and running issues i thought i would give a short exhaust video of just how bad my truck would idle after the plugs fouled really bad
i have since then fixed the problem but this was about what i was dealing with.

mine came this way, stock efi manifolds to an ok fabbed ypipe into single 2-1/4" with no cats, mystery muffler that looks like a glasspack but appears to have baffles in it, maybe a tube style turbo muffler. sounds like crap but i cant hear in the cab really so i dont care.

Ford! That is what was in the works before the 4.9L engine was dropped.
