4bbl intake on 302

I currently have a 1970 F100 with a 302 2bbl carb.I am going to put in a rebuilt shortblock with heads and want to put a 4 bbl carb.I know I will have to have another intake and new carb but is there anything else I need to consider?Or should I just stick with what I have?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 26-Nov-01 AT 00:12*AM (EST)]Should go on with no problems. When you put the end seals on the block for the manifold, either glue them on, or throw them away and use a thick bead of silicon. You will have to make up a new fuel line for the carb, but should be easy. Make sure you use a good inline fuel filter (clear ones are nice).

The heads on your 2V 302 will have smaller runners than the 4V heads. This means that you won't be able to utilize the full efficiency of the 4V carb since the gas and air won't flow as well. The combo will work, but you'll see a big jump in hp and torque if you can change your heads at the same time.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 26-Nov-01 AT 11:18*PM (EST)]The only difference I've heard about on a 302 4v head vs 2v head is the chamber size. And that was for a couple of years only anyway. Should bolt right on, no problems.
