Insurance

Pardon my bragging, I just love deals. I just saved a bunch of money for insurance on the truck by switching to TD Insurance.

For the past two years, I've been with he same local insurance broker which provide me a yearly statement and that's it.

Periodically I would receive an ad for TD Insurance with my TD bank statements. For the fun of it, I thought I'd enquire bout a quote. Never hurts to ask. The premium cost is lower than my previous insurance. Plus, since I told the clerk the truck is in storage during the winter, they'll refund the expense of insuring it when it's not in use. How can I pass that up? I surely didn't.

The only downside to TD or any of the other widely advertised insurance companies is that they will not cover you if you have modified the vehicle. Also a good thing to ask what they regard as modifications, some will amaze you at how simple a change could make your policy null and void. This is not meant to rain on your parade but rather as a warning to everyone to be sure you ask LOTS of questions before signing on the dotted line.

No worries there, they did asked about if it was "modified". I enquired about the term "modified" to where it would concern them. Says any mods/updates/repairs I have done to the truck that would differ from it when it came off the factory. II mentioned all stuff done, which did not structurial change the truck. Same truck, engine, suspention etc... Only a flatbed body instead of a van body and a newer syle push button radio.
