Just thought I would post and say hello...
Now that my job is making take a lunch, I will have some free time to play in here...
I have a 1984 F-150 Ext. Cab with a 5.8L V8... Its my first truck I've owned but I've wanted one since I was a child... My dad had almost the same truck but an 85...
I know very little about vehicles but I'm going to learn... I just replaced my battery cables and fixed my horn... I was so proud of myself... LOL...
I dont have a picture yet but does anyone know why there would be a large tin can sitting behind the battery??? It has only one hose connected to the can???
Hey Darksidesm...welcome aboard!!! Good to have you posting...check out our B/S thread...join in anytime. Sometimes there are a bunch of folks on...sometimes you're alone...just join in!!!
Hey Darksidesm, you've probably found it by now, but in case not, there's a forum just for 80-86 where you should be able to get an answer. Lots of people willing to help - I've gotten a ton of info for my '73 without even having to post a question.
Good to see an 80's has survived the rust. My old man had an '83 6.9; I wouldn't mind a crew cab from that era. Where in NE are you?

I think what you are looking at is a Large Can that looks like a Coffee can painted all black.. I believe this is used as part of the vacuum system ,but not 100% sure..
Other helpful tips to remember is put your name in your signature so we know you we are talking too.
Also Be watchfull when carrying food at GTG's there are some who would bite your arm off.
And lastly bring your sense of humor or this ride will be bumpy..

To create a signature...
Goto USERCP
Then on the left there is Edit Signature..
You can enter somethings in there and there are restrictions..
If you just stick with your First Name and truck info for now should be fine..
