460 carb w/ C-6 to 460 EFI w/ OD

I need help from a expert -

I have a '70 4x4 Crewcab that is going to get a fuel injected 460 with the OD trans from a 1995 F-250 van. I think this combo will get better MPG and work well here in Colorado with the major elevation changes. I have done lots of motor swaps on these older (pre emission trucks), but I have not messed with the wire harness from a newer motor with EFI. I have all the wiring and computer, ETC..

How hard is it to sort out the wires to fit the old trucks panel? Do I use only the part of the harness that applys to the motor/trans? The van had the O/drive button on a stalk, can I just use a toggle switch? What will I need to do about the fuel pump? Can I do an external pump or does it need to be an in tank pump? I have dual tanks now, is there a way to use one pump for both tanks?
I know this is a major project, just hoping to get enough tips to keep it from being a nightmare. I am sure someone has blazed this trail before, so any help, hints or heads up would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance for any help,

Your biggest headache will be sorting out the wiring. The main things you need are the engine/tranny wiring and computer, but there will be a few other bits needed as well. The computer requires a speed input and this can come from either a tranny mounted VSS or the rearend RABS sensor.. depends upon the year. I think the later truck used the RABS sensor but I think the E4OD can be modified to add a speed sensor if not so equipped. Your OD switch idea will work, and you can use a frame mounted high pressure booster pump and keep the dual tanks. There may be a few other issues but if you have the donor vehicle right there it shouldn't be anything you can't solve.
