My Dad used to tell me. the best mechanics in the world don't know everything, they just know where to look it up.

I can look things up, but my problem(one of many) is I think I am scared it won't ever crank again!!
That is how you learn, by hands on. Before I could drive my dad made all of us kids know how to change all the fluids, brakes, tires, and push a car to the side of the road. I am glad he made us learn that.

He would tell you things that I don't even want to remember. I was not the nice little daughter in my teenage years. I was grounded alot, but even then my dad stilled loved me. He was a single dad raising 3 kids all teenagers, then he met my step-mom and he got 2 more teenagers. So he had his hands full. But if it wasn't for him I would not be the person I am today.

I can do the basics, I have even pulled heads. I rebuilt a motor,but I had another guy helping me. But, I still get the hebie jebies when I am alone. Fear of it not starting again.

I think we all had some rough teenage years, I know I did, Back then you could beat your kids, I would love to see my Daddy's face if someone told him to sit me on a time out seat. He would have whip them too, my how times have changed.
