Nice picks dd. I was wondering if you know if they are going to make a fx2, and if you know what the harley is suppose to look like. Hoefully not an all chrome grill. Thanks again for the cool pics.
I think the yellow FX4 RC looks just as impressive. I would like to know what options will be available on the RC FX4 series though. It gives potential owners some data to decide on an 08' or an 09'.
Sweet sure wish my dad would get one, why do you want the 4.6??
That's a great question, it seems that many people believe that you need 400 HP and 550 ft lb tq in an F-150. I disagree. If you need that kind of power, Ford builds a wonderful SD. First of all, the 4.6 3v is pushing 290 HP with better mpg than the current 4.6L. My '04 Expy has the 4.6 and I'm more than satisfied. The 4.6L 3V has more HP and TQ than the 5.8 in my '88 and I've never overworked that truck.
The 4.6L 3V has already proven itself a worthy and reliable work horse in the mustang GT and the Crown Vic police units. I believe that putting this small block in the f-150 is the best decision that Ford has made in many years.
The only way to improve on that is to build a 32 valve V-8.

this confirms it, the interior basically looks the same as the 07 08 expedition's, just with different colored gauges. Also damn near has the same front end, exactly same headlights.
And by the way those rims look to be the same on the expeditions and lincolns, CHROME CLAD, basically plastic chrome on top of a steel wheel, cheapy. Crappy deal when you pay extra to get the chrome thinking it will actually be chromed rims not a plastic covering.

when you mess up a wheel would you rather replace the whole wheel or just the cover?? also can some people afford to replace the whole wheel whe the wheel might be $300 and the clad be $30?? this is something to think about.

I believe what he is saying is the Chrome is moulded onto the steel wheel. Not like a hubcap, but not a true alloy wheel with chrome on it. Either way I'd rather have the steel chrome over an alloy chrome. You ever see what happens to chrome wheels up here in MN? It is bead leak city. Chrysler is famous for this. Anyway I understand what you are saying, chrome alloy looks nicer. And if you hit something hard enough to mess up the clad, it will generally bend the wheel anyway.

At no point do I say to myself that the ext looks like an expy... at all. In fact just the other day I wondered when all you guys that said it would like an Expy, would sign in and apologize for being wrong. I guess your post answers my question: You won't, in fact your in denial...
I'll be happy if the 6.2L beats the Toyota 5.7, never mind the 5.4 and the 4.6L...
I'll also be curious to see how close the 09 Gm 6.0L / 6 speed combo gets to the 5.7L. We know the 6.2/6 speed will take it. And we know the 07/08 6.0l 4 speed couldn't...

Actually the 5.7 will beat a stock 6.2 with the 6speed tranny. There's too many grannies on the stock 6.2.
Now if you tune it that a different story but it also will void the warranty as per GM's new policy.
The new interior is HAAAWWWT! I'm really digging the rear-end changes too, very, very nice.
Still kinda unsold on the grille being so much higher than the headlights, but I'll withold judgement until I see it in person. I'm betting it looks better in person.
All in all a beautiful truck though. The 6R trannys are flat awesome too.

That interior looks almost nothing like the 07+ Expedition. It looks like damn near every piece is different.
I'd be interested to know a few things. Does it now come with a trans temp guage? Did they keep the mechanical fan? Will it allow you to select which of the 6 gears you want like a GM 6 speed auto (my biggest complaint is you can't select between 5 and 6 on the expy)? Does it use vac assist brakes or hydraboost for the brakes? Anything else? Did they increase oil and coolant capacity to help cool the engine?
