How does it compare to the '04-'08 for handling, braking, power and overall feel?

Do you have any idea when they will annouce anything else, ex. power and towing. I sure do love those wheels, and for an XLT the interior sure is nice, how do you get a job like that??

It's hard to say how exactly the handling and braking felt, I'd say over all an improvement. As for power, I thought I was driving the 5.4 but when I popped the hood at home I found it to be a 4.6L 3V.

Can you give us a pretty good guess on what kind of mileage the 4.6 will get and a retail ball park figure? Thanks.

I agree it looks GREAT, especially for an XLT. I just hope they fixed th A/C problem and made the 6sp tranny so it gives a bit better mileage. Those are my only real gripes on my 2004 FX4. Good work Ford!!

Damn, lucky *******!!! Like most, I envy you and wish I had a job like that!

So it sounds like the handling is similar if not slightly better that the 04-08, 4.6L has good power and the truck is beautiful. Still not fond of so many buttons on the center control stack, but guess not every model has all the bells and whistles.

Keep us posted on your experience behind the wheel and if you get to take a 5.4L version for a spin.

DD,

By chance do you know the gearing setup the '09 F150 will have?
Is it still the 3.31, 3.55, 3.73 and 4.10?
Will they offer the 4.10 in something other than the 7700 series?
How well does the new 6spd auto keep the F150 in it's powerband?
What are your overall impressions of the truck?
Can you get some pics of the '04-'08 model next to the '09 for comparison?

Thanks!
