Tuners

I need some input on tuners. I want to put one on but don't know which one to install. I just got a 6.0. Could some of you give my your feelings on the ones you have..??

I have a bullydog triple dog tuner... puts out power and make the truck fast but I hear it's not the best. Plus in between gear shifts on extream mode it like draws out the 3rd gear and won't qwitch to 4th when i'm riding it hard unless you really ride that gear al the way out to the end as well. So all the way to about 75-90 mile an hr. Couldnt tell you how fast but its pretty fast when it happens. And once you take the foot of the acc. it sticks in that gear instead of going in to overdrive or 4th... Don't get it.

So, I called the guys up and they have no clue what wrong and told me it the tranny. I think its the tune. Because on tow or proformance mode it works fine. And stock its great to.

Anyhow Most guys here will tell you to get an SCT any how. w/ custom tunes. Mine is on its way now. Guess I'll find out if its the tune or not when I put the new SCT in.

How do the SWCT tunes work? Are they just plug and play? Do they void your warranty?

I have SCT custom tuning and like it.

Extreme tuning will require head studs because the stock OEM head bolts will stretch. On stock engines you can use a tow file or mild street.

If you choose custom tuning tell the vendor what you have and what you expect for your truck.

SCT is a flash tuner. Pay to Play is the best answer to your question. Most techs can detect a programmer and your warranty is void. Ford has really pressed the dealers on this issue.
