Expedition

I have a 99 expedition with a blown motor, I found a 97 for $300 bucks, will it work, what do I need to change over to make this happen? Both are windsor style motors, anything else im missing here? Do I need to replace all things with 99 or is this just a straight swap?

Check your state emission laws. Sometimes an older engine won't smog and since it's a mod, you're screwed.

These engines (the modular OHC, right?) got better every year. '97s--some, maybe all, were pretty weak.

What blew in your present engine?
