hey tranny guru's, i got my codes and lots of them

i scanned my 90 7.3 E4OD, code 29,49,59,62 and 69. i fixed the code 29 as i replaced the speed sensor and it shifts into all the forward gears now even when cold. i have the rest of the codes that shows errors on all the shifts, and torque converter clutch slip. i'll clear the codes next and see what the speed sensor fixed. the torque converter slippage really sucks though as it drinks the fuel. ???

PLC7.3 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Sent you an email with some info........ are you going to disconnect the batteries for 15 minutes to see if codes return, next drive......... good policy.

i didn't get any emails. i replaced the vehicle speed sensor and all the codes went away except a code 65:transmission control switch or tcs did not change. ????? converter still does not lock up. it also quit shifting past 2nd gear again, after 2nd test drive after new speed sensor. here we go again. i'm ready to say the hell with it or part it out and get a different truck, i'm not gonna spend the whole summer chasing this trucks problems. later, pete

FORD MEGA CAB!!! is starting off with a positive reputation.
I don't know about shifting past second gear but the converter lock could be not kicking in because of a bad brake pedal switch. Every time you hit the brake the converter unlocks so if the switch is stuck or bad then the tcm thinks the brake is on and not to lock up.

Good luck
